Emily Irene VanCamp who initially set out to become professional dancer was drawn in acting when she visited her sister Katie on the set of the movie Ladies Room. After she began to take acting classes, Emily VanCamp also got guest spots on television series in Canada. Her appearances have been in a number of shows, including Are You Afraid Of The Dark? Radio Active, Dice. VanCamp's career exploded after being cast in the role of Sam Dolan, a regular on WB Horror Mystery Glory Days. It was cancelled after just nine episodes, despite getting good reviews. However, she was successful to secure a new role Amy Abbott on Everwood. This role brought her nominations for the Young Artist Award and four Teen Choice Awards.
